Our Winners

The winning streak continues!

It gives us immense pleasure to share that in 6th International Open Karate Championship (India’s Most awaited & biggest Karate Championship), held at Netaji Indoor Stadium on 30th & 31st July 2022, our students did us proud.

Under the able guidance of Coach Shihan Prakash Thapa, 5 of our students bagged the following awards in various catagories:

1. Ritushree Nandi of class XI, got Gold 🥇in the 15 Years Girl’s Kata Catagory

2. Karishma Molla of class V, got Silver 🥈 and Bronze🥉 12 Years Girl’s Kata & Kumite Catagory

3. Manisha Parveen of class VIII, got Double Bronze 🥉🥉 in 13 Years Girl’s Kata and Kumite Catagory

4. Sneha Mondal of class VII, got Silver 🥈 in 13 Years Girl’s Kata Catagory

5. Debosmita Roy Chowdhury of class VII, got bronze🥉 in 12 Years Girl’s Kata Catagory

Jyotirmoy Public School has always believed in the doctrine-” Never step back as the world’s stage awaits to see you rise and shine . “With heads held high, we are proud to announce the results of the ” Genius Junior Fest ” organized by The Ruby Park Public School, on 16.07.22 Saturday.

Among 12 schools that participated – JPS bagged 3 prizes out of 8 events participated in.

1.Show and Tell
Jayasmita Haldar of Preparatory shift 1 bagged the *2nd Position* She dressed up as Donald Duck and spoke on cleanliness and hygiene.

2. Aarush Karmakar bagged the 2nd Position in the Art category. The theme was Save Water.

3. Tanushka Debnath of Class IV bagged *3rd position* in dance. The theme was Monsoon.

CHAMPION IN TOWN

Jyotirmoy Public School feels extremely glad to announce that KANISHKA BANERJEE of class XI of Jyotirmoy Public School bagged the first position in the All Bengal State Muay Thai Championship under the category of 14-16 years and weight category 50.1-55kg, organised by West Bengal Muay Thai Association and recognised by Bengal Olympic Association which was organised on 26th of June, 2022 at Open Air Theatre, Jadavpur University.

It gives us immense pleasure announcing her victory and we congratulate her for the glory that she brought to us through her splendid performance.

JPS student makes us proud again

In the India Progressive cup, the 2nd Open National Taekwondo Championship 2022 was organized by Knockout Taekwondo Academy India at Dasnagar Alamohan Dass Indoor stadium, Howrah, W.B from 10th June to 12th June, 2022.

A total of 600 players from over 24 states of the country took part in the event. Among them Rudra Halder studying in VB of our school participated in the mega event representing West Bengal and fought in the 38 kg Fresher’s weight category where among 15 participants he won the Gold Medal bringing glory for the state. He defeated another boy from W.B. in the semi-finals and a boy from Tamil Nadu in the finals. He was awarded with a prize of money of Rs. 900 along with a certificate.

Rudra Halder has really made everyone proud through his victory.

“If you believe in yourself and have dedication and pride – and never quit, you’ll be a winner.” It gives us immense pleasure to share that Maheera Islam, currently studying in Class X has emerged to be the Second Runners-Up winning the Bronze Medal of The Winter Contest – National Level Online Quiz for School Students organized by BCCI – The Bengal Chamber held on December 18th, 2021. We wish her the best in her future endeavours.
